Description
Surfaces: All surfaces (required for showers, sinks, exteriors and heavily wet areas, recommended for floors and counters)
Coverage: 125 sq. ft. matte and 200 sq. ft. satin (A+B)
Recoat time between coats: 3h to 24h (accelerate with fan)
Pot Life : 30 minutes or as directed on label
Number of layers : 2 to 3 layers
Tools needed : Brush, foam roller, paint tray, 150 and 320 sandpaper
Cleaning of tools : Water when product is still fresh
Full curing : 7 days, take care for 30 days
Interior Exterior
Art Béton Urethane is a two-component, low-odor, water-based topcoat that complies with VOC requirements. The product provides a high performance, clear, non-yellowing finish that minimizes gloss reflection in general purpose and decorative floor and wall systems. CFIA and USDA approved for use in food processing plants. ASTM D4060 abrasion resistance. .
Areas of application : Hospitals, care centers, schools, grocery stores, shopping centers, commercial/industrial premises, restaurants, food processing plants, etc.
SURFACE PREPARATION
- The Art Béton Coating must have been covered with the Impregnating Sealer having dried sufficiently. The surface must be clean, dry and free of contaminants that may interfere with adhesion.
URETHANE PREPARATION
- Mix part A and B according to the ratio on the bottle

CAUTION PREPARE ONLY THE QUANTITY NEEDED. Use a small container. Pour part B into part A according to the ratio on the bottle. After adding the resin to the hardener, mix well for at least three minutes until completely homogeneous.
**For optimal adhesion, apply in less than 30 minutes after mixing parts A and B even if the texture is still liquid)**
APPLICATION
- Apply Urethane with a small foam roller, using a paintbrush for corners and edges. Apply an even, bubble-free coat. Let dry completely, 1h to 3h, accelerate drying with a fan if desired. Lightly sand between coats, using 150 grit then 320 grit for a very smooth finish. Thoroughly clean the surface with to remove any residue with a damp cloth or vacuum cleaner. Apply the 2nd coat evenly. In the case of a floor, avoid traffic during the first 24 hours. Thorough drying after 7 days, take care for 30 days.
HARDENING
- Hardens in pot in 1h to 2h depending on the mixing of the two components.
- CLEANUP: Clean all tools and equipment with water. Wash hands and skin thoroughly with warm soapy water.
SURFACE MAINTENANCE
- For the first week, use only a dry microfiber cloth or mop. Then use a damp microfiber cloth or mop or a neutral soap.
WARNING
- MAKE A WATERPROOFING TEST ON THE SURFACE COVERED WITH ART BÉTON COATING AT LEAST 24 HOURS AFTER YOUR LAST COAT OF VARNISH OR URETHANE. SOAK A CLOTH WITH WATER AND PASS IT OVER THE WHOLE SURFACE, THE SURFACE MUST REMAIN WET FOR 2-3 MINUTES. IF THE CONCRETE CHANGES COLOUR, IT IS NOT PROPERLY SEALED AND ANOTHER COAT OF VARNISH OR URETHANE IS REQUIRED. DO NOT USE THE SURFACE UNTIL THE LEAK TEST HAS BEEN DONE.
WARNING
- May cause irritation. Precaution: Wear appropriate protective equipment when handling. Avoid ingestion or inhalation of product as well as contact with eyes and skin. Keep away from incompatible materials. Store in a cool, well-ventilated place. Keep out of reach of children.
FIRST AID
- If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. In case of contact with eyes or skin, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water for a few minutes. If inhaled, breathe fresh air.
GUARANTEE
- Les Enduits Art Béton offers a guarantee for its Art Béton coating system. The warranty is applicable for one year from the date of purchase of the system. Les Enduits Art Béton undertakes to replace the products used if, and only if, the application is made in strict accordance with the attached specifications and on a perfectly stable basis.

*ARTBÉTON COATING IS NON-FLAMABLE. FOR USE ON A FIREPLACE DECOR WALL, IT MUST BE APPLIED OVER FIBER CEMENT OR ANY OTHER NON-FLAMABLE MATERIAL.
