MAPEI Reinforcing Fabric is a strong, absorbent, flexible and alkali-resistant polyester reinforcing fabric for optional use with MAPEI's Mapelastic AquaDefense when installed under ceramic tile or stone in residential and commercial applications, inside. Reinforcing Fabric can also be used as a component in MAPEI's ShowerPerfect TM shower installation systems. Reinforcing Fabric is suitable for use on substrate areas such as cracks, baseboards, corners and areas around drains when used with Mapelastic AquaDefense. Reinforcing Fabric provides a safe and durable barrier to water migration into adjacent areas. It can easily be trimmed to the desired size with a chisel or razor blade knife, and is especially compatible with all MAPEI grouts and epoxy mortars, or cementitious grouts and mortars.
