3M Particulate Filter 2097 is NIOSH approved for environments containing certain oil-based or oil-free particles. Recommended by 3M against nuisance levels of organic vapors and against ozone concentrations up to 10 times the OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit.

3M Particulate Filter 2097 with Nuisance Level Organic Vapor Protection provides respiratory protection against exposure to lead, asbestos, cadmium, arsenic and MDA. The filter is effective in the presence of concentrations up to 10 times the permissible exposure limit with half facepiece respirators or up to 50 times the permissible exposure limit with tested full facepiece respirators. a quantitative fit test. This filter protects against a wide range of oil-based and oil-free particulate contaminants. It also provides protection against nuisance odors of organic vapors that are below the permissible exposure limit. Harmful levels are defined as levels below the OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit or other government-established workplace exposure limit, whichever is lower. Do not use for respiratory protection in the presence of organic vapors or if the atmosphere presents an immediate danger to life or health (DIVS). The 2097 filter is commonly used for welding, brazing, torch cutting, metal casting and soft soldering. There are less inventory needs and protective equipment training requirements because this filter is suitable for many applications. This filter is both flame retardant and water repellent. This filter is typically used in the following industries: agriculture, construction, general manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, primary metals.
